To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight, to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth- Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance, to understand a proverb and a saying, the words of the wise and their riddles. Proverbs 1:2-6

Bed time

This is what it looks like at our house when it's time to put the kids down for bed.

-First we sing three Psalms or if we have a little extra time we'll sing four. Right now we are working on memorizing Psalm three, which is pretty cool, btw ;-)
-After we are done singing the kids work together while they put the books away and we sing Psalm 133.
-Then we read. Right now we are working on memorizing the sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7) one section at a time, so we read that section out loud until it is memorized. My five year old niece (the oldest) almost has the first 12 verses down, she needs a little help but she's doing really well. -Then we all pray. When it's just me and the kids I'll pray first then we go in order of age from oldest to youngest. If everyone is home then my brother goes first because he is the head of the household, then his wife, then my mom, then me and the kids.
-And then they are off to bed, to be tucked in and kissed and left to fall asleep.

What blessed children! To think they get to go to bed each night with so much love and scripture in their hearts and minds!

I haven't been to visit your blog in awhile! I don't know why becasue I always enjoy my visit here. I happened to link over by clicking your name at my cousin's site tonight! (Think, think, think.. in W Va.) God bless you as you endeavor to instill God's love and Word into those precious children.
